Siobhan Campbell
Technical Director, WSP
Siobhan is a research expert, with 23 years experience in central government. Since joining the Intelligent Infrastructure team in WSP in January 2023 from central government, her focus has been on the interface between technology and people, and how outcomes can be more successfully delivered through taking a person-centred perspective and ensuring a strong evidence-base. Her role in WSP covers three broad areas: policy monitoring and evaluation design and delivery; achieving impact through innovation management; and socio-technical research and approaches. Siobhan’s expertise comes from a career in the government’s social research profession (GSR), latterly as its deputy head of profession. She spent 6.5 years as Deputy Chief Scientific Adviser in DfT, where she had responsibility for social research, behavioural science, monitoring and evaluation, innovation, R&D governance, futures and emerging technologies. Siobhan brings rigorous research skills, an understanding of how evidence can best influence government decision-making, and a strategic, future-looking perspective to the transport policy landscape.
