Simon began as an economist in the civil service, working on a number of prominent public policy issues before joining the Department for Transport a decade ago. He has held a number of senior policy roles relating to transport strategy, devolution and city funding and more recently working on some of the Department’s top legislative priorities, including the Automated Vehicles Bill.
