The ITS UK Advocacy & Public Affairs Group is our main forum for the discussion of policy, comms and public affairs issues. The Group provides the opportunity for attendees to hear from a key speaker on a relevant policy topic, followed by an update on ITS UK’s Advocacy & Public Affairs Plan.
We will be joined by Seb Gordon, Director of Communications & Engagement at Great British Railways Transition Team (GBRTT). Seb will talk about the priorities for the creation of the new organisation that will run Britain’s railways.
We have also invited a representative from National Highways to discuss their comms activities.
The next meeting will take place at Atkins’ offices in Victoria, London.
This event is open to all members – register to attend here.
Please note: This event was due to be held on 12 May but was moved due to train strikes. If you have already registered, your registration will automatically be carried over to 12 June. Please let us know if you can no longer make it by emailing contact@its-uk.org.
About Seb Gordon
Seb is leading GBRTT’s communications and engagement team to deliver a programme of activity to communicate clearly and engage effectively with key stakeholders about the organisation’s work to deliver a better, simpler railway for everyone in Britain.
Seb joined GBRTT having spent nine years at the Rail Delivery Group. During this time, he developed an extensive understanding of the rail industry, its stakeholder landscape and the sector’s reputational challenges. Most recently, he has overseen cross-industry communications activity such as delivering a unified presence at the COP26 summit under the ‘We Mean Green’ banner and helping tell the story of rail’s importance to the nation’s recovery from Covid.
