Gemma has worked on various design schemes including the M3, M1 and M4 Smart Motorway schemes, working on both the design team and on the technology integration team on site co-ordinating with multidiscipline.    She has worked on various technology schemes for highway operators including Toll systems for Celtic Roads Group, mobile connectivity for Transport Scotland and parking and electronic signage for Transport for London. She has an active interest in innovation within the ITS and is chair of the Women in ITS UK forum.
