Kris Beuret
Consultant and Chair of the ITS UK Inclusive Mobility Forum
Kris is a sociologist specialising in engagement between the public and transport professionals. A key area of expertise is the equality impacts of transport policy including lack of awareness of digital exclusion.
In this capacity Kris has advised the House of Commons Transport Committee, Local Authorities Government and DfT including serving on the Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee. Amongst current pro bono work Kris is a Commissioner for the Independent Transport Commission and the South Yorkshire Bus Commission. Recent work includes a major study of transport related social exclusion for TfN and co-editing a book “Why Travel? Understanding our need to move and how it shapes our lives”. Current research embraces the impact of better access to bus travel for women from Refuges and the equality impacts of decarbonisation policies on motorists.
