Delivering Commercial Value Through Procurement Summary

On 3 September, ITS UK held the second edition of a series of roundtables with the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office and the UK’s largest public procurement organisation. The roundtable explored how best to deliver commercial value through procurement.

The roundtable sought to discuss:

  • Defining ‘value’, whether that be commercial, service, social or environmental;
  • How to capture value across the transport technology sector;
  • The industry’s approach to risk, and how we get that approach right.

A summary of the session is provided below.

This event was held as part of a collaboration to support CCS’s review of the transport technology market sector, the aim of which is to provide central Government, arm’s length bodies and the wider public sector with access to improved routes to market.
