Yunex Traffic to launch AI-enabled video detection and classification solution, awareAI for the UK market, at Traffex
- Yutraffic awareAI uses advanced video analytics and AI-trained machine learning to provide detailed and highly configurable detection data insights and local signal control.
- Using a single AI engine and up to six video cameras, awareAI provides enhanced multi-modal detection, classification and movement data.
- The single processor system is designed specifically for installation into traffic signal controllers and complements Yunex Traffic’s existing traffic detection portfolio in the UK.
Yunex Traffic is to officially launch Yutraffic awareAI in the UK at this year’s Traffex exhibition, which is being held on 21 and 22 May at the CBS Arena in Coventry. awareAI is a transformative video analytics solution which uses advanced AI-trained machine learning to provide detailed detection, classification and data insights at traffic signal intersections.
By analysing video streams from up to six cameras, the powerful awareAI processor produces modal data in near real-time for the count, classification, speed and occupancy of up to 12 vehicle classes, enabling highly configurable local signal control and road user analysis, including multi-modal classification and tracking.
Wilke Reints, Managing Director of Yunex Traffic in the UK, said: “We are delighted to be formally unveiling Yutraffic awareAI at Traffex, and to showcase this transformative solution that harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to redefine multi-modal traffic detection. awareAI is the perfect addition to our traffic management portfolio, providing a range of benefits to local authorities and traffic managers.
“Designed specifically for installation into traffic signal controllers, and tested to environmental and EMC standards, the system is suitable for a variety of applications including multi-modal count, classification, prioritisation and tracking”.
Enabling multi-modal prioritisation and volume-based demand extension, awareAI also supports schemes such as active travel and bus service improvements. By using a single high-performance processor to support multiple camera locations, awareAI is a highly cost-effective solution for schemes of all sizes. There are no ongoing license costs for the system, ensuring asset lifetime costs also remain low.
